A whole month has gone by since I posted last? How did that happen?
Oh, maybe I know... after Thanksgiving I had projects due one week and finals the following. Good news, though, I got high marks in all my classes despite working part time during the semester!
Then two days after I finished finals (and worked two days) I flew to Texas in the middle of the night 12:45 am, arriving in Houston Saturday morning around 6:30 am. Despite not having much sleep, I went home to celebrate Christmas. We exchanged presents after breakfast and then I took a nap! The doggie got to play in the park while I slept, but when I got up, we had family over for Christmas dinner. I also got to see Celia and Rob as they breezed through town picking up boxes for their move.
I returned to California on Sunday, just in time to get some sleep before work on Monday.
For our anniversary, Paul took me to the Melting Pot, but we were so STUFFED we could not handle dessert! This is a cardinal sin. We skipped the dark melted chocolate dessert. I made Paul promise to take me back just for chocolate, but I probably should have put a time frame on it, since as of today we have not gone back for the dessert only part of the meal. If you are reading this Paul, you have until midnight February 14th, 2007!
After a week of work, it was Christmas weekend. I went to Kari's to make Gingerbread houses with Jayle and Jiana:
Then we also got to come back that weekend for a family Christmas dinner (what fun and good food!)
We brought in the new year at a Marta and Ben's party (they have a great condo near the 10 and the 405):
Then I managed to drag myself out of bed at 7am the next morning to walk up to the Rose Bowl Parade (alone, since Paul slept in). It was not as good as last year seeing that I had to stand outside on the street with everyone else, but I had fun and the floats were awesome!
The next week I got a cold (tonsillitis to be exact) and spent most of it at home. Then I took off for a short fun visit to see my sister in Phoenix:
We went to Tokyo Wako for my birthday and Arroyo Chop house for Paul's birthday. We had never been to the steak house, so it was a nice treat to try a new restaurant that we normally would not go to!
That weekend I also got to catch up with Mel over breakfast- nice new ride MISSES! Take care of Sara the terra.
Now I am in week ONE of classes and am already drowning. Of course, work has to be crazy busy this week too! So 40% of my grade is due next Tuesday for my marketing class, so I should probably go work on that, um, NOW.
