Sunday brunch and a walk

It sounds like I am getting old- first my teeth are in need of repair, then I cannot stay awake past 10pm, and now I have taken to Sunday brunches and walks... next thing you know I will be wearing dresses and turning 30, ewww!

I am just kidding, Sunday brunch and hikes are some of my favorite activities!

Sunday we stopped by the Huntington Gardens in the morning. The cactus garden is always incredible to walk around- it keeps going and going...







and some of those cacti are so huge! I can only imagine that they are over 15ft tall and some are wider than that.



We stopped by at the Rose tea Garden Restaurant for lunch buffet; amazingly no reservations were needed. I guess since it was the Sunday before Christmas, there were a shortage of Sunday afternoon brunchers.

After the Huntington and lunch, Mel and Dave drove up from San Diego to go on a hike with us and their new puppy! Not that it wasn't great to see Mel and Dave, buttttt... their puppy is so CUTE!

Jersey ain't afraid of no horses... unless they shake and neigh, then he crawls in Dave's lap.

A Texas-California Holiday

We did not get a chance to go back to Texas, but my folks came to visit us in our new condo. This was the first time they got to come out and see it, so that was fun for all of us! They got here late Friday night on the 21st, otherwise known as REALLY early Saturday morning. Paul had to work on Saturday, but that did not stop us all from having fun without him!

We spent Saturday at the Getty center. I always enjoy going there and this time they had two visiting photo exhibits and a medieval times exhibit. My mom loves the illuminated manuscripts, so we checked out their collection of those (I got a calligraphy book at the museum shop last time we went, and this time my folks bought me an awesome fountain pen for my birthday!)

Are you sure? People read my blog? Seriously?

Well, in that case, I better start posting again! I recently found out that there is more than just 3 people reading my blog... AND they are not related to me! I have no idea how that happened, but it did enccourage me to think about catching up on my posts... see how I said "thinking about" but not necessarily really "catching up on" my posts?

Keep an eye out.. I may even post some pictures, LOL!
